IRENE stands for the Indian River Education Network. It was designed in 1991 to provide Vero Beach and Indian River County residents with a new approach to the "home-school" connection. The logo on the right is our original IRENE logo. The concept is "bringing the world into your home."

As our community's internet access needs grew, we extended the capabilities by opening up national internet access and additional web related services. With this expansion, a new logo was also developed (shown above). To learn more about these additional services, visit USA.Irene.net.
